we have really focused the lion's share of our efforts on reducing violent crime and i think it shows in the numbers. your year-to-date property crimes are up. we have met repeatedly to streamline what is going on. in march and april people start to vacation places in golden gate park and that is where we see the rise come. we work with the assistant district attorney to try to streamline that, and really figure out exactly and pinpoint where the crimes are and how we can impact them the most. some of the things that we're doing to impact that is we also -- our community policing advisory board again rock stars. they started a merchant camera program and about a month ago we held our first meeting where the sacramento merchants' group had a meeting on how to install cameras to prevent crimes and solve ones that did occur and we happen to have our own expert, mike murphy, a sergeant, who was assigned to our crimes unit for many years and also with the effort of morgan st. claire from safe. so they put on a wonderful presentation and early next year we'll roll that out to the geary stre
