flames had engulfed the building when firefighters arrived about 3:45 a-m. the fire was so hot they couldn't approach the building at first. the smoke and flames were visible for miles, and it took firefighters about two hours to put it out. the building is a complete loss, but no one was injured. firefighters remained at the scene most of the day. the fire also destroyed dozens of golf carts and other equipment. one former employee at the golf course said she had to come and see the damage for herself after hearing about the fire. thousands of university of iowa students can get the third dose of the m-m-r vaccine for free starting tomorrow. the vaccine helps fight against measles, mumps, and rubella. there are more than one hundred cases on campus. university officials say they expect three to four thousand students to get the shot. one student on campus says she didn't notice how big of a problem mumps had become until the university sent out an email regarding the vaccine. she says she's deciding against it.
