for the m.t.a. transit team, i'm kurt kroncke. back to sandra shaw. >> happy friday! we've made it through an interesting weather week. a whole lot of nothing going on over the mid-atlantic today. we're dealing with thsh that trend is expected to continue all weekend long. temperature-wise, 73 downtown. 68 at b.w.i.-marshall. 68 over at easton, and 78 on the shores of ocean city. taking that state-eyed wide tour for some refreshing upper elevation air. 78 heather degree elevation. chances of thunderstorms to the west. might encounter a little bit of light patchy fog around baltimore, too. going to burn off quickly, though. sun 86 degrees. for once, it looks like we're going to be dry for the first time this week with no major chance ever showers or storm. -- chance of showers or storms. it looks like the surf temperature is anywhere from 72 to 76 degrees. >> taking to the bay today, winds out of the east-northeast at 6 to 12 knots. water temperatures still in the low 80's. 86 is where we should be. keep this benchmark in mind because that's going to be really all weeke

with the m.t.a. transit team, i'm kurt kronke. now back to sandra shaw. good morning. >> good morning. hope you're doing well. this is the first full week of august. it's definitely going to feel like it. at least for the first half of the week. then we're going to drop to the mid 80's as we head into next weekend. what we're dealing with this morning is a whole lot of nothing as far as precipitation. high pressure to our west. it's starting its approach. it's going to dominate for the next two days what we see out to the east is the showers and storms associated with that front that pushed through yesterday. ignited some severe weather, especially on the lower eastern shore. we had several tornado warnings at one point and a water spout was spotted on the chesapeake bay. no confirmed reports of damage this morning. but it was quite volatile. there were several localized heavy downpours. this morning just a little bit of patchy fog. a few clouds hanging around. 74 and humid downtown. 71, b.w.i. marshall. 70 in easton and st. michaels on the eastern shore.
