ben krump, attorney for the martin family. i'm sure you were listening there to my interview with the two attorneys for george zimmerman. it got heated. some strange supposition on their side that i was trying to convict george zimmerman. i'm just trying to get to the truth. when you listened to what they said, what was your reaction? >> well, obviously, they did not want to look at the facts that have been released by the police department, the fact that it is highly unusual that someone can kill someone in cold blood and that person not be armed and george zimmerman has a nine millimeter gun. even the 911 call, there are several facts that are going to come into this trial. if george zimmerman, this armed vigilante is arrested for killing trayvon martin. the problem is, he has not been arrested. they talk about trying it in the media and have him cry on some rallies, i submit to you, had it not been for the nationwide outrage, his death would have been swept under the rug. when tracy martin called me, i believe in my heart of

we have breaking news i am being told regarding the trayvon martin case. illiams is standing by, i believe, with the -- do we have pete there? what's the latest? >> we're told by a law enforcement official that georgia prosecutor has decided to pursue criminal charges against george zimmerman and it will be announced sometime this afternoon quite late this afternoon. we don't know what precise form the charges will take, but this comes after the prosecutor had already indicated that she would be making a statement sometime in the next day or so and we were in the timeframe she originally announced would be the period during which she would make an announcement. she had a considerable gamut of choices between no charges or the charges could take the form and i don't know what they will be but obviously you have to assume it could be as simple as assault. it could be some charge related directly to the killing, manslaughter, negligent homicide, a number of choices the prosecutor has. we know one, of course, the prosecutor doesn't have, because she has chosen

we've heard from the trayvon martin lawyers expressing the same sentiment. about her as a prosecutor and what it's like to go up against her in a case like this. you've both worked with her as a prosecutor when you were on the same team but more interestingly to me tonight, you've faced her, you've worked against her. what's that like? >> just to be clear, i faced her in a case where she was on the other side. we never actually got to trial because we ultimately resolved it. i've faced many of her assistants, including some of the ones that are going to be involved in the trayvon martin-george zimmerman prosecution. i can tell you that her office is very tough. the people that she has assigned to this task are extremely thorough and they will do a very thorough job and they will make sure that they essentially look at every piece of evidence if they have not already done so. miss corey obviously has a wealth of experience in murder cases. >> mitch, there's some speculation tonight, including by the zimmerman family, george zimmerman's brother on cnn said he

tonight's lead, the fbi goes to the scene of trayvon martin's death. breaking news today, the fbi is in sanford, florida, and they are investigating. agents arrived this morning at the gated community where trayvon was killed going door to door, questioning potential witnesses and compiling information on zimmerman's background. the fbi investigation focused specifically on whether the shooting was racially motivated. word the young man's civil rights violated? meanwhile, trayvon martin's parents sent a letter to the justice department asking for a formal investigation of florida state attorney's interactions with the sanford police department. the family wants to know why wolfinger's office didn't bring charges against zimmerman even though the lead homicide investigator in the case wanted an arrest. the most explosive news today centers on a witness 911 call the night of the shooting. on this call a voice can be heard screaming for help. listen. >> 911 do you need police, fire or medical? >> maybe both. i'm not sure. there's someone screaming outside.
