presidential candidates will now be greeted with a message when they arrive in the metro... that's "clean energy equals healthy kids." the message is plastered on a new billboard by the des moines international airport. it's located at the intersection of fleur drive and mckinley avenue. "climate parents" came up with the idea... to urge candidates to support renewable energy policies. the group will unveil the billboard today at noon. it will be followed by a press conference. many of the republican presidential hopefuls will see that billboard this saturday... ten of them are scheduled to be in des moines for the "growth and opportunity" party. the event takes place at the iowa state fairgrounds. tickets are still available... for ten dollars each. as of right now... two big names are not taking part. the two frontrunners in iowa... doctor ben carson and donald trump... have yet to confirm. iowans got the chance to meet each of the democratic presidential candidates... the "jefferson jackson dinner" brought hillary clinton, bernie sanders, and martin o'malley to des moines.
