the north bay. guys, back to you. >> thanks so much, mike. >>> we want to check the forecast. we've been talking about how hot it's going to be. >> we're tracking those dry, warm conditions around the bay area this morning. if we could go back to the chopper live video of that fire burning around alameda county, you're seeing fire crews on scene. we know it's a red flag warning and this is the reason why. before dawn we've got dry conditions, breezy and some of the hill top locations around alameda county, i just checked and we're seeing low 70s out there for elevations above 1,000 feet. so this is warm and dry conditions. around the rest of the bay area, look at that, san francisco, 67 degrees. this is what happens when you get offshore winds. the air warms up and drys out as it heads over san francisco. not much wind at sea level but look at oakland, northeast at 5. probably winds closer to 15 miles per hour right now in the east bay hills. we'll be watching that very closely. so fire danger high in the north and east bay hills. for the rest of the bay area, you can see that

and see where the rain is now. >> mike, moving around? >> yeah, definitely. been down in the south bay. still blowing dust off the rain bucket. it is nothing like the rest of the bay area. same thing the east bay valleys. made it as far south as walnut creek. by far the best rain is on the peninsula. especially north of san mateo and into downtown san francisco across 101. you can see the best radar returns still up in the north bay where i think we will see the rain linger longest during the midmorning to mid afternoon hours. here we are at 8:00. the rain field trying to push to around san jose. you'll get some sprinkles. temperatures in the 50s. by noon you can see that rain shield retreating back to the west. all of us in the upper 50s. by the afternoon hours, the best chance of seeing rain will be in the north bay and some of the higher elevations down around the santa cruz mountains and the diablo range, mid to upper 60s then. as far as baseball, let's take a look at the forecast. what's it like in arlington for the giants and rangers? 3:57 our time, 5:57
