if we do want national sovereignty, why is the united states still in as a member of the united nations? mr. bolton: well, with respect to the second question, you know, jean kirkpatrick was once asked, why weren't they not a member? because it's not worth the trouble. only jean could come up with an answer like that. i have to say -- look, i don't think in significant respects most of the u.n. system posed a sovereignty problem to the united states. i think there are aspects of the u.n. system...
