this room is filled with many loans from the smithsonian national museum. the smithsonian air and space museum of a lot of the medals of the lamb and humphries, as well as benjamin savoy, who were some of the earliest aviators trained here. there's a fun story of benjamin savoy was the leading military aviator at the time. he specialized in hot air balloons and he flew with a the rights at fort myers military trials in 1908. and at the same time, they were testing, purchasing new airplanes. they were also experimenting with the u.s. army, wanted to also purchase dirigibles and blimps. benjamin savoy was trained in that. he actually went to school. school for that, wrote his thesis on it. and he flew in a blimp and he flew on the airplane. and once he flew in the airplane, he realized blimps were useless. he told his superiors that superiors were unhappy with him. he was supposed to be the first military trained pilot. they sent him to europe to attend a conference to punish him. he arrived at college park airbase in the last few weeks, but he actually never
