this is, as the national transportation safety board investigation gets under way. mike, what do we know about the investigation? i know it's very early, but the n t s b has been involved there the investigative body in the us for error crashes at this time. is there anything that's already been made public? well, let me say straight out that this is a very complex situation because they are so many overlapping authorities in bold. you have federal state goes, you have state figures, and of course you have the district because the c m. so this is overlapping investigations taking place in the military office. we involve this being able to treat helicopter. now that is something that is being sold to the how does it work as we go along, it will be headed by the national transportation safety board. but equally, there will be investigations from all the other parties involved. all the other parties who have some place to jurisdiction get so we do have this as the 1st challenge for the new trump administration. the transportation secretary, as shown, duffy was only cons

the newly installed transportation secretary, who said, right now simply, they have to focus on the search and rescue operation. but there will be that investigation led by the ntsb, the national transportation safety board, as well as the faa. but it simply was too soon to tell what may have gone wrong. yes, there's a lot of theories out there, and a lot of people are pointing jonathan and kevin to the video that has come out of this, because what was so surprising is that that's not usual for us to see in real time what happened. but because this airport is so closely watched in dc, all the local tv stations have cameras on it. a lot of people also, i've seen dash cameras from ubers and stuff like that. there have been multiple angles of this crash caught on camera that yes, will be a huge help to investigators, but it also helps all of us piece together exactly what happened and where it happened. just south of the airfield where we are is just about a quarter of a mile to a half mile away from one of the runways. we have seen a number of those emergency vehicles that have been stationed out there for hours. but i will say it appears just from our vantage point, things have calmed down a little bit. y
