i thought i was going to have may be a story in the middle of the "new york times" and the story i got out of this question was on the front page of the "new york times" and it went viral and became the basis for my book. i'm not sure how many of you read it. do not not want to give the ending away. so i'm going to be a bit circumspect about the plot and the book. let me just say that as a journalist you are always struggling for a front-page story ofto course. nobody ascended journalists and opthink they're going to be a millionaire or a celebrity but you are hoping to haver your ego stroked by getting your name in lights are getting your names on the front page of the "new york times". it is a really tough road to plow, trying to find out something that nobody else in the world knows. the great journalists who do it, i think i probably had some decent scoops in my career that nothing but i found out from the spymaster baghdad. man.amazing i did not really understand how important my first meeting with him is going to be. i did not really know is going to end up being the blockbuster

as others have maybe a story in the middle of the new york times, the story i got out of this questionthe front page of the new york times the went viral and became the basis for my book. i'm not sure how many of you have read it. i want to give the ending away so i'm going to be circumspect about the plot in the book. let me say as a journalist, you are struggling from front page story, nobody goes into journalism thinking they will become a millionaire or celebrity but you hope to have your ego stroked getting your name on the front page of the new york times. it's a tough road to plow trying to find out something nobodyy else in the world knew. there are great journalists who do it, i think i probably had decent scoops in my career but nothing like i found out about this, this amazing man but i didn't really understand my importance of my first meeting, i didn't know it would be a blockbuster story. all i knew is that i spent five months trying to get someone to answer what i thought was incredibly straightforward question. how has baghdad gone so safe? sometime along thisli journey
