and into the newsroom tonight, the coroner has confirmed the identity of the victim. this is his picture, a 29-year-old resident of livermore. we have more on how it happened and explains the chargers against the driver. >> reporter: it was a very scary sight this morning. it shows flames shooting up into the air minutes after the accident >> a jeep came to a stop due to traffic in the number two lane and was struck in the rear by a hummer that was traveling approximately 50 mph. >> reporter: sadly the driver of that jeep was killed as a result of the crash. from our helicopter partnership with abc 7 news, you can see the charred jeep and the hummer that rear-ended it. the driver of the hummer, garcia., arrested with felony dui and felony vehicular manslaughter. traffic in the area was tied up for hours as crews worked to clean the roadways and the chp conducted their investigation. crews cleared the accident scene just in time for the rush hour commute. i checked with the coroner's office and they haven't released the name of the person killed in the crash. reporting
