the roadways moving nicely as well, close to the speed limit. i'm calling out the east shore freeway because since the toll hike that came out yesterday, we've seen a lighter flow of traffic since the congestion pricing may be due to congestion pricing. a live look at the bay bridge toll plaza, these are the summer months when we typically see a light volume of traffic anyway. this is a live look at the toll plaza. yesterday the final segment of the new eastern span of the bay bridge began to take physical shape, the transformation you're looking at the new portion of tower there. this is a piece of the tower that will support the suspension cables and it's nearly completed in place. then they have another couple of sections to go. yesterday crews used a crane to hoist that 1200-ton section over the concrete foundation. the bridge is still expected to open sometime in 2013. great news. it will be beautiful. until then, we'll see major changes and maybe a destruction for drivers as well. >> plenty to get used to. >>> it's 6:11 right now. breaking
