last two days have been windy, and the winds have started to back off tonight, and the parts of the north bay down to 39 degrees, and the wind speeds are coming down. as we look at the wind speeds now in the north bay, generally 5 to 10 miles per hour, and the temperatures quickly cooling tonight. napa, 36 degrees, and it's not even midnight. we have a few more hours of night to go and we will see the temperatures drop off more. san francisco and oakland, 40s and 50s right now. the dew point temperatures, these are the temperatures almost a sneak preview of what your morning low should be if we have clear skies and light winds. santa rosa, look here. and then the north bay valley out towards the east bay, and these will be the locations that have a chance for patchy frost in the morning, and 40s likely around the rest of the bay area to get your weekend started. and the main issue heading into tomorrow morning will be that freeze warning up for lake county into solano county early in the day tomorrow. you may notice high clouds come into the end of the weekend, but still no chance of rain. th

there are some tricky places. >> up in the north bay. ur east bay hills winds gusting to 38 miles an hour. mainly in the upper elevations now, but the north bay, we had the fire in sonoma, the national weather service issued a red flag warning because the winds can spread that tinder and we're looking at dry fuels and relative humidity only in the teens, the dew point slowly coming up. much better moisture tonight, but right now here's a look at mount tam and the winds are okay, you can see them blowing but temperatures with the winds allowed for a pretty mild start. most areas it's chilly, red wood city and san jose, in the 40s, 55 half moon bay and here is the wind from our east bay hills camera, the wind gusts are over 38 miles an hour. about 1700 feet. santa rosa up to 57 now, 48 in nova too, 48 in napa, mid-40s in lm. the forecast high calls for more sunshine, a nice afternoon. the next couple of days look dry and sunny. the gusty north bay winds throughout the day today until 5:00, rain comes back on wednesday into thanksgiving. and

the east bay alone. they are also outages in the north bay and south bay. our chief meteorologist jeff ranieri joins us with a look at the top wind gusts. >> and it did gust as high as 65 miles per hour in the oakland hills. hayward at 44. these are not the strongest wind gusts that we've had over the past three years or so. just a long duration of these winds that just continued to batter the bay area last night and also this morning. what you should know is that wind advisory has expired for the east bay and for the north bay, it's only in effect for the hills above 1,000 feet and that's where still up into 10:00 p.m. tonight, we could have wind gusts that range as high as 70 miles per hour. now coming up in that full forecast, we'll have the bottom line on the wind and when everything is expected to come entirely here across the bay area, plus extremely cold nights ahead and the next possibility of rainfall that could bring us some holiday travel issues coming up in that full forecast. >> thanks, jeff. so cold wind and now fire. a fire fueled by high wind

so far, some light rain has been falling in some parts of the north bay. dry elsewhere. but about .10" so far reported in santa rosa, plenty more to come. our hi-def doppler radar showing you the scattered showers moving through overnight. but just off the coastline, we're still seeing some more moisture there and looks like that will be pushing in a little bit later on this morning to bring the rain, probably picking up toward the middle of the day and then intensifying into the afternoon all around the bay area. so yeah, indeed, it looks like things are a little bit unsettled now. scattered showers mainly focused to our north. but as we head in toward the middle of the day and i think in the commute hours i think rain picking up everywhere so it could be a very messy commute ride on the way home. here it is on our satellite and radar image. you can see a lot of that energy headed up into the far northern california. still, we are waiting for the brunt of the storm system really on the back side here that's going to be sliding down into the bay area later on today. so it
