pacific time yesterday morning, we're at the game yesterday. and to give us the picture of how nba summer league works is two simultaneous arenas operating at the same time. it's on the campusonnected by a hallway. there's the big gym that you saw that seats between 17,000 and 18,000 fans. then the gym where i was down the hall which is a much more intimate feel of less than 3,000 fans. and where we're set one our broadcast location at center court is on a platform. and it almost felt as if there were two people on either side pushing and pulling us for a solid 10 to 15 seconds. one or two times. and it was remarkable that at the next stoppage of play i said to the referees, how come you didn't stop the game? he said, for what? the players and referees on the court couldn't feel the movement that we all clearly could feel sitting court side or in the stands because there was a buzz in the stands and at our game, they didn't stop the game at all. it happened around the end of the first quarter. they played the second quarter, went to halftime, inspected the cour court, recognized a slight crack. both teams determined it was playable. so they agreed to play the third quarter.
