he's at the penndot yard in norristown tonight. brad, i see the salt piles behind you. >> reporter: yeah, we see it this time of year every year, of course, penndot telling us they are ready to go here in norristown. we know city and state crews gearing up for what could certainly sounds like it's going to be a wintry mix through the course of the night. penndot as you mentioned wrapping up this news conference a short time ago some of the highlights of what they toll us they have 336 trucks ready to go across the five county area. it comes to about 122,000 tons of salt. it is all hands on deck tonight despite this not being a major snowfall, there are still almost 3,000 lane miles that will need salting and possibly plowing as well just to give you an idea last year penndot went through almost 60,000 tons of salt. we also paid a visit to the city of philadelphia street crews there. they're geared up with about 50,000 tons of salt on stand by. the city did not real dollar any pre treating of the roads. they figure that the brine, th
