people so thank you for that. on a more serious note, of the many things i am proud of, years i worked in the city of new york nothing makes me more proud than the people of new york have gone out for about the nation to leadership decisions in education whether it is district superintendent level or the state commission level or at this ticket -- advocacy organizations or philanthropic organizations and schools, that is an enormous tribute to fact that people came to new york to change the world and continue to believe there are lessons of hope but we need to make sure and nothing makes me prouder than the people, to change education in this country. second thing i want to make clear, i want all of you to read this book. i wrote this book for you. i say that not to insult you but many of the people in this room were part of it on the inside and outside. the people in this room come with their own opinions but i wrote this book for a different reason. and i spent eight years in my life inside an enormously complex bureaucratic organization. and it was like in terms of the day-to-day. if the book is successful it is successful
