pg & e, the california rps program works in compliance periods, 3 years compliance period and pg & e is forecasting that it will be long in renewables from a compliance standpoint in the next compliance stand period. they have access to make available to this program and would set aside just for participants in this program. >> i kind of thought the way it worked and energy is so complicated as kind of like a reservoir that is full of dirt water and you keep adding clean water but it's still getting mixed together and you are tapping into it, is that correct? >> i think that's a fair technology. the bath tub technology, the electron, isn't really green if it's coming out of the smokestack, if it's not it's green. >> if i choose the green option, they are going to put more green into the bathtub, into the the reservoir. >> they are going to set aside some of the energy that are rps compliance. they are going to say we don't need this and we are going to dedicate it to the green tariff customers. the only reason they can do that is that they expect to have some extra capacity available

the u.s. attorney's office has opened up an investigation into pg&e and the puc's communications with the focus on how pg&e allegedly tried to shop for a judge who would rule in the company's favor. the hearing began two hours ago. the city of san bruno sued the puc, including 41 e-mails between the pg&e and commission that demonstrates what it says is collusion, five years worth of 65,000 e-mails between the two groups and released some of those that it acknowledges broke rules. not everyone was privy to the information, and pg&e just yesterday released additional e-mails deeming them inappropriate and in violation of rules. michael florio allegedly helping to help the utility land a good judge in the case from the san bruno explosion. the mayor of san bruno, jim ruane, says this transcends to california attorney general and governor jerry brown, for whom he says the silence has been, quote, deafening. >> governor brown a number of times we've written him stating we want something done, the removal of mr. peavy and reworking of the public utilities commission. have not heard a word. not even f

. >> philippe djegal it was a serious stuff fire shooting out of the building. pg&e just restored power to the building which fire fighters needed to fight the flames. a fire of fighter and jim was struck by a power line that fell down. take a look at the video that you see here. the flames are on top of the building and fire fighters say it was tough to get to the top of the building. there are four flights of steps to get to the top to fight the flames. the fire department says the power line on the engine also hindered their firefighting efforts but they were able to control the flames fairly quickly in the main home where the fire started. the fire jumped to the two buildings to the left and right of the home. the homes possibly had apartments and one of the buildings. it was contained to the exterior of one of those homes but made it to the inside of the other. again nobody has been injured at. this at we spoke with jason smith to was inside when the fire began and he said all he could do was evacuate his wife and young son. he talked about his feelings. >>as
