for all of you this is something of a homecoming because russell gold was a young reporter at the philadelphia inquirer in and 90s and in 1996 when i was editor of the san antonio express news we hired russell and he came to san antonio and had a wonderful three four year run as a reporter, met his wife and got married and worked in the capital bureau in austin before moving on to the major leagues and the big time and he has written a terrific book about fracking, "the boom". i have seen four five books on the subject and none kept my attention until this one. is a terrific book, i want to congratulate you on it and get you talking quickly about it. a lot of people up passionate about fracking because right in our backyard is the eagles for shale, people on all sides of the issue have a lot of things to contribute to the conversation. is being filmed by c-span and so when we get to the queue and day there will be someone in the audience moving around with a microphone and i will ask you to hold your question until you have a microphone in front of you so it gets recorded. if people feel we ar
