in the poconos, the snow is still coming down. skiers are taking a break but plenty of snow will make perfect conditions tomorrow. we're warned of of the change from snow to rain and any wintry mix could create icy spots on the roads overnight. count on team coverage to keep you prepared for what to expect overnight and when you wake up tomorrow morning, let's begin with first alert meteorologist britney shif tracking the different conditions. we're seeing a mixed bag at this time. if you take a closer look. the pink in the i-95 corridor and the northern part of burlington county into the suburbs, that's a wintry mix of sleet, and rain. closer to allentown, lehigh valley snowfall into the poconos. if you look closer to the shore, atlantic city into cape may, it's rainfall. as we take a closer look at the i-95 corridor, the main concern with the wintry mix, freezing rain, sleet and the possibility of ice. so the roads are already dangerous, we want to be careful. hopefully you can stay in for the rs of the night. the new concern is

so allentown and reading and the poconos and lancaster, careful out there. but it is not totally out of the question that we could be finding some slick travel around the philadelphia area as well. mainly snow to the north snow-rain-ice through the philadelphia area, and then mainly rain to the south. but again some of these forecasts are calling for a bit of freezing rain even in some of the shore spots. amounts, coats to go ann through philadelphia, one to threonines our immediate northwestern suburbs allentown, reading maybe finding three to 6 inches of this, and then six to 10 inches of snow through the poconos. so, the amounts are not extreme, and our computer models say 1.2 inches, that's the most that any of them are coming up with, and that's the euro. so doesn't look like a snow event. it looks really more like just watch out for your travel event. thirty-five in philadelphia, shore 38, and the poconos 28 degrees today and the weather starts to come in little later on. at 35 degrees, light winds not as bad as yesterday. but remember, the wet weather

so mainly snow for the lehigh valley and the poconos. t to see a bit of a mix, but that won't be until the tail end. for the i-95 corridor starting off with light snow then it will turn into a wintry mix. if you live closer to south jersey and the shore, mainly rain for this entire system. so 3 to 6 inches but we could see higher amounts locally, and that's mainly confined to the poconos. 3 to 6 inches allentown, 1 to 3 for our suburbs. less than an inch for the i-95 corridor. we're expecting a coating, if that, but you could see a little bit of wintry mix, mixing in with the rainfall. not as cold today for us. temperatures will push into the mid-30s as we head into the afternoon. we'll be slow to warm here. and as we push into tomorrow our temperatures will reach a peak earlier in the day, right around the high 30s, and we continue to fall as we head into the afternoon. for today, late snow and rain moving in. temperatures range between 33 and 37 degrees, and we'll see similar conditions heading into monday. we'll finally get rid of the

minus 3 for allentown, and minus 13 for the poconos. doesn't get much better as we head into tuesday. in fact, it gets worse by the time you head to work on tuesday. it's only going to feel like zero degrees. it will feel like minus 5 in allentown and minus 8 in mount pocono. as we head into tuesday evening we'll slowly start to see our conditions improving. samg same thing for wednesday. our average this time of year is 45 degrees. tomorrow we'll see a high of 25. by tuesday just a high of 24. and the thing with tomorrow is we'll continue to see falling temperatures. so to actually get colder as we head through the day, it will be even colder by the time you're heading home from work. temperatures drop down to 19 degrees. 23 for philadelphia. and it doesn't warm up that much more than that range as we head into tomorrow. sunny and colder. temperatures range between 20 and 25 degrees. a windchill throughout the day in the single digits or even up to minus 16 in the poconos. the seven-day forecast shows a high tomorrow again at 25. 24 on

feels like 7 degrees only in allentown and it feels like currently a wind chill of 4 degrees in the poconos along the coast in wildwood feeling like 12 degrees. so, the core of that arctic air moves in as we get into saturday afternoon and saturday night and here's part of the reason why. we're tracking a clipper system that's going to be working its way eastward. as this clipper system moves through we could find anywhere from 1 to 3 inches of snowfall but in the wake of this clipper system moving on through an arctic boundary will help to reinforce that cold air. check out what happens with this area of low pressure as we head into the weekend. this becomes a down right blizzard ones again for areas in new england but we pick up on those winds on the backside which means wind chills as we get into saturday night into sunday will be anywhere from 10 to 20 degrees below 0a high wind watch has also been posted for saturday night into sunday as winds will be gusting as high as 50 to 60 miles per hour. and just how cold is it going to feel? well, once this core of the cold air moves in, monday

in the poconos the windchills are severe. but i from allentown down to the shore, it's possible to get windchills between 10 and 15 degrees below zero. we'll start with temperatures, 11 in philadelphia. single digits in allentown and reading. 12 in millville and 14 in wildwood. we've had it before this winter, but this is the first time we've had it with this kind of wind. gusts in wilmington, 32 miles per hour. i've seen gusts as high as 40. when you combine the temperature with the strong blustery winds you get a windchill of 9 below in philadelphia. 5 below in allentown and 5 in millville and wildwood has dipped below zero. it depends on what the winds happen to be doing at the moment that you step outside. so you have to prepare for the brutal conditions. 8:00 a.m., 10 degrees, noon 19. we have windchills in the single digits at noon. 23 by 3:00 p.m. and your windchills are back in the teens. this is one of those mornings in particular, karen you have to bundle up in multiple layers and cover up as much skin as you can, b

the best chance is to see mainly snowfall if you live closer to the lehigh valley into the poconos. u're right along the i-95 corridor and into our suburbs, we're going to start off with light snow then see more of a wintry mix, then mainly rainfall. it's going to continue to change as we head into our overnight hours, and it's going to depend on where you live. if you live in south jersey closer to the shore, mainly rain with this system. so snowfall totals 3 to 6 inches are possible, and the poconos, and the same for the lehigh valley area. some of our suburbs could see 1 to 3 inches when that first batch of snow moves in but then it's going to switch over the rainfall. and then we'll see along this i-95 corridor less than 2 inches. south jersey a trace to one inch, maybe even a coating along the shore, but we're not expecting a whole lot of snowfall. for your first alert day, 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. light snow moves in, 10:00 p.m. into our overnight hours, snow a few icy spots, rain. for your monday morning commute, snow and a little bit more mixing in on the back end of that system. b

in the poconos, 25 in allentown. 26 degrees in pottstown and 25 in westchester. dover, 18 in millville, and 22 in glossboro. so a cold start, but a closer look at how wide the system is. in chicago, seeing snow coming down. even snow just to the south of minneapolis. and this whole system is heading our way. in fact we're starting to see a few light snow showers. not quite reaching the ground just yet, but as we head into the rest of the morning, we could see a few snow flurries and light showers ahead of the main system. by 3:00 p.m. start to see a little snow coming down that's not the main system. same thing applies closer to 6:00 7:00 near allentown, even near philadelphia. the main art of the system, as you can see by the model, will get here between 10:00 and 11:00 p.m. if you're staying out late and heading home around this time be careful on the roads. we could see slick, icy spots. and then you'll notice the window for our snowfall will be short lived, especially along the i-95 corridor. it's going to start switching over to rainfall in our overnight hour
