so this is mostly for the lee high valley and the poconos. we're looking at areas around the alentown section up in the poconos, 7:00 p.m. through 7:00 a.m. tomorrow morning. so sleet and freezing rain expected here, snow accumulation could be around an inch, then we'll try to see the transition to rain, mainly for the lehigh valley, not so much the poconos. the rest of the area seeing rain. a look at future weather, we stay cloudy, temperatures staying in the 40s, so a colder day today. then late tonight, this is going to be i think when many of you were sleeping. we should see the formation north and west where you see the pink, possibly freezing rain or sleet, maybe an inch of snow. the rest of the area should expect mainly rain. some of that could be heavy. then by 5:00 in the morning, still continuing up near the poconos, rain elsewhere. this is early tomorrow. for most of the morning commute i think most of the area will just be seeing rain. the area at the highest risk for wintry mix by early tomorrow for the morning commute. closer to

for berks county lehigh county northampton county into the poconos. little bit of sleet at the onset overnight before it changes to rain across much of that area. in fact future tracker 9:30 tonight there you can see the rain across reading, points south, some of that sleet in the lehigh valley, some ice in the poconos. then as we get into the midnight hour, that's when things start to pull together a little bit more, heavier precipitation in the form of rain. for most of us reading rain at that point. still some sleet and ice from the lehigh valley to the poconos and then by 4 o'clock in the morning, heavy rain across much of the area. starting to flip at 4:00 in the morning from sleet to rain in the lehigh valley and during that morning rush, it is heavy rain no matter where you are, ponding on the roadways and by tomorrow afternoon the rain is out of here and some peeks of sun will try to reappear. so, in allentown and reading, our slow only going to drop to 34. it's not going to go freezing with some of that sleet that could accumulate a little bit

different story in the poconos. going up to noon though look what happens. ave practically no rain left. just a few spotty showers and then later in the afternoon we might even see some breaks in the clouds so that before the sun goes down maybe a peak or two of sunshine. up in allentown today, 49 degrees, a rainy start. a windy afternoon with drier conditions later on obviously. and at the shore pretty much the same story. rain in the morning. starting to taper off as we get into the afternoon. a dry finish then at the shore and a high of 62 and in philadelphia, we're starting out with the rain but this afternoon we will be drying out. 62 degrees. hopefully a little bit of sunshine and still rather blustery. winds gusting as high as 20 miles per hour, maybe even a little higher than that as we roll through the day. in terms of temperatures it is going to be a lot milder today again. 52 degrees by 8:00 a.m., 56 degrees by 11:00 and keeping with the theme of this cool weather season so far we are looking at another well above average high, 60 degrees at 2 o'cl

we have winter weather advisories for the poconos. driving possible late tonight, first thing in the morning. berks county is going to be marginal for any kind of significant threat because even though there's likely to be sleet here, it's going to be hard to get the temperature down actually to the freezing, below the freezing mark. we have to keep an eye on it, because that pink is sleet. and if the temperatures gets down low enough, you've got an issue. that's mostly toward midnight, because it's going to warm up towards day break. another area of heavy rain back to the west. let's see what happens hour by hour, the temperatures obviously go down into the 30s. in allentown, doylestown, and then maybe even near the freezing point. fairly close call for allentown, but again, the warm roads might help things. meanwhile, not even a close call in philadelphia and points to the south, way above the freezing mark and our issue is the heavy rain that's going to be coming in. look at this, 4:00 a.m., 5:00 a.m., temperature keeps going up. he

wind speeds up to 30, 31 miles per hour for the poconos stretching down into philadelphia. satellite/radar shows we have clouds going to move in, we'll see a little sunshine as we head into the afternoon. we're also watching a few of these showers will push into the southern parts of sussex county but we do plan to stay dry as we head into the next couple of days. our next chance of showers won't be until we head into tuesday. so our futurecast shows us that we clear out with clouds as we head into the rest of tonight. one thing we're watching a chance after few snow flurries near the poconos due to the lake-effect snow off of the great lakes here. as we head into the weekend again, we'll stay dry so dry conditions for the eagles game. a closer look at the warm christmas week that's going to be on tap. we could see near-record heat wednesday, forecast 64, the record is 66. thursday is the warmest day next week, with a forecast high on christmas eve of 70 degrees. we expect to break the record which is 64. and then as we head into christmas day our temperatures will drop down

quite a contrast from what the poconos are seeing. lentown is actually cooler than it was this time yesterday, while atlantic city is 15 degrees warmer. speaking of warm, these numbers are incredible. the departure from normal, compare to normal, about 14 degrees. that's like every single day of the month, 14 degrees above average. now if we were 14 degrees above average in july, we'd be 100 degrees every day. that's how extreme this is. and every other place in the area just about as extreme, too. this is really one for the books, and you can see every place in the area is reporting cloudy skies, nobody is reporting any rain. so it looks threatening, but it isn't, at least not at this point. we have a little bit of fog, mount holly, toms river, reading. poconos have dense fog at a quarter mile. that's about it. otherwise just these low clouds hanging around here. and it's going to take a while before we break out of it. nothing more than a sprinkle out of these low clouds. this area is going to start building up a little bit with some
