another project is the citizens police advisory boards. each police station has a citizen's police advisory board. we have residents from that district meet with the captain. the captain meets monthly in a general community meeting. we also have various forums, such as the business forum, asian pacific islander forum, african-american form, arab- american forum, latino forum, and a faith based forum where we can keep an open dialogue and have two-way communication between the police department and the various communities we serve. supervisor chu: i do appreciate that. particularly in the tenderloin station, the community outrage that happens there is incredible. i think the quality of the relationships that the foot beat officers all the way up to the captain have with the residence is wonderful to see. i think we have a strong relationship there. guyandotte -- i am not sure how that is replicated throughout the city. but as important as it is for the chief to be out there, it is important for the officers that what the beat to also be able to go on these tri

he was the brother-in-law and he came to the police station to find out why she didn't return. they just put him in a cell. mckinley walked in and they didn't see anything to him. they just put him in a cell. the next was ralph cooper who had no family or friends and just moved to trenton. wilson was aliterate, james had a serious speech impediment and so did mckinley so when the police did this killing, two of the men actually had a speech defects and couldn't easily talk back. james had his arm amputated above his elbow two weeks before the killing. no one mentioned a one armed murder. this doesn't give you any idea of what they went through, going to rebuild it from the book. the first line is through james mackenzie who was brought in the blast, she was the only one who could read, write, and had no physical problem. the reason he was brought in is because they lived in the same house so she was easy to find. before the first trial, there was the jury sitting in the jury box, there were the six black defendants, the jury was all white, all middle class so before the trial, j

the police department got. it was awarded the best police station. the most colorful posting, these officers work on some of the greediest streets -- grittiest streets. dealing with crime means picking and choosing and keeping civilians save. the tenderloin is a place for families and children as well as people struggling with poverty and homelessness. congratulations to capt. guaranteearrity and the tenderln station. gappreciation for the recommendation. don'we have had a busy time sine the last meeting. did we did have two officer involved shootings. one was last wednesday night, a suspect being wanted for questioning regarding the bludgeoning death of his mother. it was in an apartment on post street. when officers went to engage the suspect he never came into a place where he was visible. youhe fired at the officers thrh the wall. this conjured up memories when the police officers were killed. cat was called to try to establish communication and continued to fire through floors, ceilings, and walls, but the situation became a media -- immediate wh
