i'm proud to inform you amongst the 80 u.s. port members that aapa has, 14% of the ceo's of those ports are women, which is about double the average of the fortune 500 companies so i think that's interesting in a rough and tumble business as ports may be perceived to be, that we have such a strong representation of female ceo's. to your question, yeah, i was delighted to see port milwaukee getting that grant. that program is, you know, one of a kind. it's the only program, you know, for ports only. it is amazingly oversubscribed. each time, so we're in our third cycle, i believe now. and the grant requests exceed about a billion dollars where the grant authorization has been somewhere in the neighborhood of, you know, 250, 300 depending on the year. and the grant is up so we're encouraged by that, but these are important dollars to allow ports to improve their infrastructure, to prepare for the challenges that you're now seeing played out in front of us in real-time by the volume surges and the long-term resiliency challenges that w

in september 2019, the port made amendments with special taxes. with the foration of the district and the additional assessment and the first issuance of not to exceed in cfd special tax bonds. the project is currently working to price and close on those funds, and we expect to do that before the end of the month. we recently posted the preliminary official statement for that issuance last week. quickly, there are four cfd special taxes at mission rock. the special tax that we are requesting bonding capacity for is the development tax which funds infrastructure and parts at the site. the office special tax which is shorter term and more flexible and the shoreline protection studies and facilities along the waterfront and resilience work and the services special tax which funds ongoing maintenance at the site. this brings me to why we are in front of you today. the amount of bonds that can be sold at mission rock is limited by two factors. the first is the ongoing special tax revenues paid by the building owners and the second limiting factor is the

the port of redwood city used to be quiet. e residents in the community didn't even know it existed. now that's changing. the port has spent the pandemic reinventing itself. he started with drive in movies, then graduated to the stop a family circus, which brought night after night of entertainment. the circus brought horses to the port. and when you think about it, we haven't had horses at the port since the gold rush next up, dragon productions, variety show running weekends through june. with their theater still closed due to covid. they say outdoor set ups were great option. they'll have everything from taiko drums to magic to comedy. it's a little bit like you know, old school, johnny carson is gonna be a really good show. the next edition to the port happened almost by accident. commercial fishermen just happy pani c called them out of the blue. he had lost his spot in san francisco do to covid and needed a new place to dock. he found redwood city by looking on google earth, and i said, how would you guys like us to come
