especially for agenda items if you are going to have a meeting with the puc. the budget issues were raised earlier today . i know a big problem that was part of the budget. it's now $20 million more per year. it's good to find out how we got stuck with a new inter connected agreement that is going to be that much more money. i don't -- i think it due to be approved in 15. especially that brings up another item besides cleanpowersf for their 10-year projected budget, the sfpuc has agreed to remove $30 million when we have been trying to get it up to $5 million a year. we need to find out what's going on with the pg & e interconnected agreement and find out why, when we've seen evidence that minnesota solar is beating fossil fuel or price, in usa -- austria -- this is benefit for these departments and not liabilities. it doesn't make sense when we are in a budget crunch to be cutting things. we need to find out from the sfpuc what the heck is going on. that is the key number, that $20 million a year that's digging in. they have a big water project that they say i

that the lgbt communities are incorporated into our puc and stay current with city build and make sure we're being a good corporate communities. i provide management oversight and direction for the 3 enterprises that serves the puc pardon i have 3 directors that the puc implements one important water as you know julie had done that and now with the water improvement director and karen is at the helm of the sewer project and previously chris was at the helm and ches has taken a promotional opportunity on the operational side on the other hand, and we'll have a replacement. so those 3 people are responsible for the day to day management of the enlist praktsz facility capital needs. we have our engineer management bureaus i've talked about the functions and our structure if you look at on the left the left column is the typical needs through the life of the program project management and cost and scheduled control. we have the engineering ever design phase of a project the construction management during the construction phase. overall quality assurance which mayors with the quality contro

our commission at the puc approved our general manager moving forward as well. as you know, we operate san francisco's municipal power utility. we're the power provider for this building and many others that the city owns to powering essential city services, powering ten analyst facilities. we provide affordable reliable clean greenhouse gas free power ~ and we're to mta, to the port, to the port, we're really excited about the opportunity to add this transit center to our portfolio of customers. we're looking forward to providing the benefits of our low-cost hetchy power to these municipal -- this municipal service. we have a lot of strengths in our local decision making and public accountability. we're very proud of that, and we have a comprehensive approach to providing electric service to the tjpa. we are going to be providing the project with savings by way of lower up front capital costs and operating cost savings because we provide service at a lower rate than pg&e otherwise would, 10% below where pg&e is offering. under the agreement we're committing to t

your conservation budget for the puc here for the retail side is a little less than $48 million a year to reduce the demand for our produce. last week staff from examinations customer services service and conservation refocused our efforts to get the word out to people that we have services available that we do water audits and make recommendations to people and also have high-minded building inspectors who help folks to figure out their high bills it's an audit but only if you want it. we're getting the message out. book in 2007 when we went for a call for a reduction supply we have a reduction in calls so we're going to organize our staff to respond and react as quickly as we can to do the audits to get people the reductions they're calling for. another thing we did in 2007 we funded for and with our customers a water saving hero champion that was successful. we're going to get the word out to people that water is precious and we need to save every drop. that's where we are. any questions? >> i have a question so a couple of weeks ago it was commissioner torres that raised the issue

i applaud the efforts of the puc to get the water it's expensive and there's not as much potential. in palo alto where i live we have a real resource our waste are water plant dumps $20 million o million gallons in the bay everyday. we tried to pull together the elected officials stanford university and others from san mateo county and the water district and we brought in a number of experts to know about the ground water basin. we tubed the drivers for pursing more ground water use and there's a lot of interest in the ground water because of the population growth and, of course, the drought and climate change. east part of the city is continuing pushing up against their i s g so they're looking at drilling a new well. there's a lot of interest in continuing this conversation. it motive both go to using those brown water basin and the west water treatment plant we don't have any resources allocated it's a challenge and palo alto a very weighing community both financially and with water we're allocated 17 million gallons per displaying day there's no incentive to look at that. i woul
