happy to hear the comments by the puc and supervisor mar. we are definitely mubing thip right direction, but we live in a world of unprecedented convenience. technology provides us with just about anything we want at the push of a button. the one thing it can't do is provide us access to clean free water. people value convenience in the city and arounds the world. the most convenient option for people out there today is still plastic bottled water. it is easier for people to go out and buy a bottle of water and carry it with them and drink it and though it away then to find a fount in in the city. we need to provide much greater access to drinking fountains in the city. if san francisco is to become a truly sustainable city, that cannot include plastic bottled water and need to think bigger. drinking fountains is that solution but only works if we have a network throughout the city. the united nations declared water is a human right and the supreme court recently said a right without access is not a right. that was for a different issue, but
