the bay bridge toll plaza metering lights are on. radar activity down over here, we've had wet roadways overnight and through the morning and we've been following this jam over here in this section but north 87 now feeling the build as folks try to shift over and avoid the backup. we continue to follow this, the crash north 680 at berryessa leaving only your right lane open in that direction. north 280 there is a crash coming off the same area. we have slowing because of a crash on the right shoulder and activity with tow truck there is and the continuing big issue, the traffic alert northbound 101 approaching mckee road, where we had a deadly crash that leaves your left lane open. bob redell is on scene, gathering facts and the progress and right now, you see the overturned box truck there, right in the middle of the screen. the coroner is on scene doing the investigation, finishing that up. they have to then right the truck, clear the lanes. this will be a while. wet roadways as well in the area. we continue to follow this, guys, back to

. >> first a look at the radar, rain is returning to the bay area. thank you so much for joining us. i'm vicki nguyen. >> the bay area have returned. another storm. just in downtown san jose it was really i was at 87 when this downpour cut loose. everybody slowed to 4 miles an hour. rod here taking how long it is going to last. >> the rain rates we'll be seeing from about 5:00 to 8:00 and right now you can see, some showers around san jose. more wide spread rain to the west and off shore. lot of intense weather to our east around stockton. and that is the storm closing in on us for this everything. tonight rain totals maybe as much as a half inch in spots. a lot of that could come down in a short period of time. minor roadway flooding possible on the onramps and off ramps. the main tonight is the wind speeds. a wind advisory for the coast and bay and hills starting at 6:00. slight chance of thunder showers. and the wind advisory along the bay and san francisco and the coast. as the weather ramps up this evening. all eyes on the sky for the lunar ecli

the coast. so stay tuned and keep a close eye on your radar and the weather app for the radar information for your area. by 7:00 and 11:00, you begin to see how things quiet down. that's the break between the two storms and as we get into sunday, there you go. 11:00 and more so for your sunday plans, that could be a washout. it looks like we'll see a lot more rain with that sunday storm as opposed to what we're seeing with this current storm. rain totals today don't look all that impressive but when you add the two storms together, now you see by sunday night how a lot of the bay area hill tops could be looking at two to three inches of rain. wind speeds will peak right around midday and around 3:00 we begin to see those wind speeds come down and speaking of coming down, look at all that snow in the sierra. we could be looking at two to three feet of snow in the sierra. monday, things do trend a little bit dryer. we'll still have to leave in some showers for monday and the big championship game then get ready for another strong storm. this is going to be the third in the series coming into tuesday

let's get you into the radar right now. we've seen the worst clear out of the north bay peninsula and the east bay. we're still holding on to the rain and the south bay. and that's where it's been pummeled the past two hours. wind gusts at 20 to 60 miles per hour. then on top of that those heavy downpours. the most urgent thing i want our viewers to know now is a flood warning until 7:30 tomorrow morning. this is on the guadalupe river. if you live near hillsde av, capital expressway, almaden expressway, you're in this flood warning until 7:30 tomorrow morning. we could see the water reach flood stage near the banks, maybe some flooding right near the river. please stay alert, turn your phones on, have those alerts going and just be prepared to maybe evacuate if you need to. we're 99 that kind of situation right now. just want to make sure you're aware of that. we have some rainfall still across san jose, morgan hill and gilroy. it's going to be starting to move out but i still think you have two to three hours of that wet w
