here is a live look at traffic at the richmond bridge. you can see traffic is very backed up at the toll plaza. to get through the toll plaza you can see there you go through into ma rin and many of those are headed to the golden gate bridge to try to get to san francisco. traffic is very backed up at the richmond bridge. here is the golden gate bridge. we have four lanes going southbound into san francisco, so four lanes open that way, and you can still see traffic is backed up as far as you can see there as you move into the picture on the right-hand side, traffic opens up a little bit because several toll booths are open and traffic is getting through and then backing up again once you get into san francisco and in other words traffic isn't really great around the bay area. earlier today crews began demolishing part of the old bay bridge structure to make the new approach. this is what we're talking about because the bay bridge is closed. crews spent last night grinding up the old road and major construction will start soon. caltran off

if you normally take the richmond san rafael bridge, and at last check we saw a lot of yellow and bute seeing mostly green. we are still attracting some delays on highway 101 southbound approaching the golden gate fee however at last check that was running at 56 minutes, now down to 42 half but still very congested compared to the usual 32 minutes the would normally expect on a winter evening. as we take a live look over at conditions on the golden gate you will see it is still pretty slow. there little bit more shuffling at the toll plaza. this is probably the worst alternative for those of you who want to get into san francisco coming from the east bay. the san mateo bridge is a much better option. a lot of space between cars. the ride is 16 minutes from end to end. >>vicki: the bay bridge has been shut down numerous times since the beginning of the retrofit project. in 2006 these down a lower deck was shut down. both directions were shut down again the next year. the third labor day shutdown was in 2009. the bridge had to be close to an emergency repair because of a cracked high ba

i lived in the inner richmond. i get notices from the bottom a call it -- the group that sends it out. it has gotten a lot better management. i think that these are great things. i grew up going to music festivals all my life. i think that to stop that would be terrible. one other thing that i would like to say, supervisor colin, i have lived out in that district and it is -- supervisor: -- supervisor cohen, i have lived out there and it is a hidden gem. my biggest complaint is i might have to wait to get a table in a restaurant, which does not bother me. these are my neighbors, they support me, and i have to support them. thank you very much. supervisor mar: i will call more with my last remaining cards. this is down in the richmond way. snow in the morning melting off in the february sunshine. just a little snow left in the richmond way tonight. snow melting away pretty rapidly now. no snow left in maryland now. of course we never had it in baltimore but we did have a crystal-clear kind of day and a really nice-looking start to the day tomorrow shaping up. the radar is showing all clear, absolutely no weather locally. temperature wise, getting cold quickly under the clear sky. we have -- when we have a crystal-clear sky, it tends to make things cool off more rapidly. a high temperature today did make it to near 50. not quite getting there in central maryland but washington dc hit 50. i think we will add two or 3 degrees tomorrow. we will see some additional cloud cover. but also, we are not going to have the northwest breeze tomorrow. we may at three or 4 degrees and end up in the low 50s tomorrow. the trend is close -- crystal-clear tonight. not a cloud in the sky. as we go into the day tomorrow, high pressure stays in control and we will see some cloud cover. but i think

i am the commanding officer of the richmond station. i want to thank officer moore, he has been doing an excellent job tracking the incidents. he gave you a small snapshot of many of the crimes and quality of life issues that have been focused around the rockit room. i deal with many community groups in my neighborhood. i go to several meetings a week. i hear the neighborhood concerns and i hear the complaints about the rockit room, the crime it attracts, the quality of life issues, the noise. i also speak regularly to my officers, might lieutenants and sergeants, who work that i watch. i know how taxing it is on our limited resources to police the rockit room when they have events, especially thursday, friday, and saturday night. it is taxing our resources. oftentimes i wish i had enough resources to vote a squad to set up and be a fixed post in front of the rockit room. i do not have those types of resources so we need your help. i reviewed the recommendations and i feel they are fair and promote public safety. i endorse them 100%. i t

the -- event. i am also a richmond district neighbor. while i am not working on the other events in the park, i get to experience them from my apartment. which i consider a benefit. touching back on hardly strictly, we have through our neighborhood outreach increased our sign image and printed sign it on just about all of the entrances to the park about two weeks before my load in date. it is usually built -- about one week before the event goes on. those signs talk about closures, road closures that are happening so that neighbors can be alerted. people that drive through the area, about one week before the event they put up signs, digital signs that lets the 19th avenue traffic know as well. another important thing to talk about is controlling traffic. we have increased the muni on the north and south side of the park over the years, as well as increasing our bike parking. many people have seen the videos of how many bikes actually come and we have just about every bicycle off of a tree that was on a tree.
