my name is elizabeth betty a docent at the san francisco zoo. i would like to point out that the american zoo association of which the san francisco zoo is a member has 200 institutions that they audit every 5 years. that means they are doing 40 audits per year, so they are professionals, they spend 4 to 5 days at each of the institutions. have access to public and private spaces for the animals. they interview the keepers, the staff, the veterinarians, so the san francisco zoo is meeting the top criteria from a professional organization who has vast experience auditing zoos across north america. i would like to reiterate that, some of the public comments coming out are from a short visit to the zoo from a guest perspective. they are not professionals. they do not have vast zoo experience, so the audits are happening and we are-the san francisco zoo, the keepers and the staff are meeting safety standards and well ness standards for the animals and for the personnel. i just want to make one comment about the jaguar that did lose its tail. this hap
