the santa clara valley medical center were half a dozen people are being treated. there are a dozen victims total. one of the three people who died a six-year-old stephen romero he was called little stevie and shot in the back. he died at the lewis medical center and his mother was also being treated. she was transferred to stanford for surgery. stephens grandmother is still being treated at santa clara. six gunshot patients were initially taken to st. louis medical center. two of them transferred to santa clara. they already had five gunshot patients here and i got the two from st. louis which brought the total being treated to seven at one point. the hospital spokeswoman told us the injuries range from fair to critical. >> we have never had a math shooting at santa clara county. we had multiple patients from other emergencies. most often a hazmat incident but this is a tough situation for the community, and the staff and their families. it is awful.>> injuries range from minor scrapes and bruises, from people falling as they were trying to run away from safety. su

yes, i'm here at the gilroy police department, and as with all fatal officer-involved shootings, the santa clara county district attorney's office is investigating. three people were shot and killed at the gilroy festival sunday. today d.a. jeffrey rosen said his office is looking into the possibility that some of those victims may have been hit by bullets from officers' weapons. >> that's certainly something that we have been looking at in terms of what -- what bullets kid the individuals other than the shooter. >> reporter: rosen says regardless of the results of the investigation, he believes that the gunman is ultimately responsible for the deaths. we just wrapped up a press conference with the gilroy police, and i asked police chief scot smithee if it is possible the victims were hit by police gunfire, and he says that was certainly a big concern for him, but there is nothing in the investigation so far that leads him to believe officers' bullets hit the victims. i also asked the fbi agent in charge if he thought that the gunman may have been targeting minorities. he said so far in th
