(steve) also happening now... a warning about a hepatitis outbreak in monterey. city officials announced the outbreak affecting their homeless population today. this comes as santa cruz county is celebrating the end of their hepatitis-a outbreak that began in april of last year. there were 76 cases there... and at least one lead to death. in monterey county... nine people with a history of homelessness have been diagnosed with hepatitis- a since october. health officials are asking the community to increase efforts to stop the transmission of the virus.
