the exact mix and cost for those options need to be finalized with the goal being competitive with pg & e rates. so working with sf puc on the commission it should be possible for the sf puc to fulfill that role that was initially envisioned to be supplied by shell energy. the next question was the timing and economic benefits of local build-out and some of these tasks really were related to each other. so this also relates to one of the later tasks. you have the potential to realize the benefits, the economic benefit of the local build-out and this translates to how much, how many dollars per cost of mega watt. on the chart here is down to dollars per watt so what will reflect what customers will see. you also have the build-out construction pay jobs. i understand the jobs were one of the questions raised for what kind of economic development and using the nrel. the development impact tool that we use to refine and estimate the construction phase jobs in terms of dollars or jobs per million dollars spent per construction as well as the assumed operational jobs after the generation station is up and running. and we'll

and local lobbyists so to begin with the local policy work primarily our work at the local area is around insuring that sf puc items but that the board of supervisors whether their be incarcerating contract or commission appointments a make it to the progress we have 40 sfpuc items that passed to the board last year had he some of basic items for the design contracts and others are the smaller items that are recorded to the ongoing operations of the 3 enterprises ass also at the local level i would say that 2013 was a huge year for supervisor initiated policy for the operations of the puc i think one example i think the commissioner was engaged in the bolted water band and the supervisor chiu catered one of the things we tried to do with the supervisors is really put forward policy directives working closely with the enterprise staff to make sure it implemented in a way that really works for our enterprise and is effective trying to take the mission of the policy so in the instance of working closely with david bird and his team he helped to an through what are the departments that are tied to implement this

the public utilities commission staff. i think harlin kelly was up next. if you have questions that you want to ask. >> thank you. >> you are here, okay. >> ms. hale. >> thank you, barbara hale. sf puc. i want to thank you for the information. i want to say the collaboration and dialogue that we had with taf was constructive. the report reinforces the number of program design elements that the puc was already considering in the cleanpowersf program. there is five key points from the enernex report that i think from a business perspective are worth emphasis. first is the report recommends that we set the energy price and then figure out the mix of supply that we can afford. second, we need to recognize that local requirements and preferences are going to be more expensive. that a phased implementation of the program is smart with the 2-tiered offering with the light green and clean start is what sonoma calls it. that basic light green offering be at pg & e rates and include build-out with the expansion of the program. once we have established that financial stability that jeremy just referred to. to remember that investment in generation may impact rates and affect customer retention

the sf foundation received the first two of six payments to create the fund, which will grant the five community based healthcare organizations the parks and rec department and puc and sfmta. and the park, and around the cpmc, cathedral hill and the california campuses. and the mayor's office of housing and community development, received the payments into the city wide affordable housing fund for placement housing and rental assistance. sfmta received payments for transportation improvements including bicycle safety and the brt and so our and we had two parts to our role in this dba the first one was hiring around construction. and you can see the goals and at least, 50 percent of the new entry level positions. and we have met that, and the goal, with cpmc and we have actually done quite well there. a couple came through the office as internships and were placed there and very strong candidate and we have done quite well there. and then the next is for the apprentice program, which is how we with the city bill worked to get a lot of new folks in the pipeline there. and at least, 50 percent of the new entry level, apprentice ships which was our goal and we have
