something has to be done at the sfmta. commissioner campos: thank you. >> united public workers for action. this is an example of the systematic harassment and retaliation against mta employees. the effect of this has not been addressed by supervisors and the mayor is a serious question. why aren't they being addressed? women are being harassed sexually, discriminated at the airport. sexual harassment is going on. these workers are being retaliated and are being told to shut up. where is the action by workers on the city board? additionally, there have been people murdered in san francisco on the buses as a result of criminal negligence by the mta management. they are putting on bus drivers without proper training. for you supervisors that want to reform you me, part of that is having confident management that does not put drivers on a line where people get killed as a result of the mismanagement. we are talking about criminal negligence, and the sport has a responsibility to address these accidents, which are caused by the

now, with the cooperation of taxicab companies, the taxicab commission, sfmta, with the grants that had been derived through the leadership of our department of environment, working with our bay area quality care management district, the county transportation authority, we found that magic that we often wish we would have. that has resulted in a complete taxi fleet that is 92% alternative fuel. and that while they have grown. this is not a reduction in the fleet. i think they have actually doubled the number of taxis, but 92% of them are running on alternative fuel. that means a tremendous reduction in our carbon emissions. that 49% that has been reached per vehicle essentially translates into 35,000 metric tons annually of emissions that are no longer limited by our taxi fleet. it is equivalent to taking out 690 cars on an annual basis. while we accomplish those very nice numbers, there is an economic reality to this. they reduce our cost by $11 million annually. they have this alternative fuel vehicles. they save an inordinate amount of money. even the bricks that have to replace. whe

just to settle -- said context, back at the beginning of this calendar year, the sfmta board adopted ategic plan. if you could go to this line, it is a fairly straightforward plan that establishes a vision which is san francisco, a great city, excellent transportation choices which reflects alesci as the importance of the transportation system to making san francisco a great city and the importance of us providing options so people have good prices they can make in terms of how they get around the city. in order to realize that vision, the mta board has established four goals, with regard to safety, one basically in -- implementing the transit first policy, one relating to the role that mta and transportation plays in our city's economy and environment, and finally one and were looking at the organization and strengthening the organization so we can deliver on those other three goals. all four of which we believe need to happen in order to realize this vision. on the rich of these goals are speech -- are specific objectives, specific performance measures and targets. we are developing

you enforce the bike parking regulations, but it is checked by sfmta, correct? scott sanchez: the enforcement process currently allows $50 a day to the office of the summit administrator. we recommend it changing to section 176, which allows up to $250 a day. at the time the parking legislation was introduced, we did not have as robust a parking system as we do now. commissioner moore: if that is what you want to do, and obviously supporting it. the one item i have a little problem with -- i support every other way of increasing and supporting bicycle ratio. this is partially because people who come to the city, in 99% of the cases, they rent the bicycles. most people, and i happen to be living near some of the larger hotels in the city, people come by car and do not care about bicycles. what are we burdening hotels? it is employee parking? that was not spelled out. i wrote in my notes i would support it for hotel employees. but i thought you were asking for bicycle spaces for a room. this is not clearly expressed here. obviously, it goes without saying if it is
