a woman shot and killed, her body left in the middle of the street one block from a south bay high school. this all unfolded last night mere the corner of south bascom and stokes. bob redell on the scene along with investigators. what can you tell us? >> reporter: good morning to you, sam. within the past 20 minutes, the coroner's office here in the south bay did remove the body of this woman where she had been lying dead on the right side as you look down the road right now, where you can see the crime scene. looks like technicians are searching an area in front of a pool supply store right near where she was shot, looking for any other possible evidence. she had been shot in the road or in that general area around 10:00 last night. police are still looking for a man who shot her. they don't believe this was a random crime. they believe that she was with this man and at least one or two other people at the time that she died. don't know what kind relationship that they had, if they were just acquaintances or friends or what they were doing out here in the middle of the sidewalk near the

low 70s for your thursday into your friday here in the south bay. e'll be in the low to mid-70s in some of your inland valley spots on saturday and what you'll notice about monday, giants home opener day, temperatures are going to drop off. we'll get a little drizzle in the morning and then maybe a litt little bit of snowfall and rainfall on tuesday. we want to keep you up to date on the drought situation. this is kind of cool. this was the actual snow, all we had as of last saturday. let me show you what one storm can do here in the bay area and you can see quite a bit more, 55.8% covered at this time. so for us, we picked up over an inch and a half of rain in some spots, two inches in santa cruz mountains. three-quarters of anen inch to inch. if you're headed out to tahoe, you don't need chains but you'll have decent skiing conditions and that will be the case for at least the next week. some resorts hoping to stay open until the 15th of this month. here is the reality check. we only climb from 5% to 8% of your april average. we need that snowpack

the north bay. temperatures are in the 50s and 60s and right at 61 degrees. we're expecting slick road from the southight at portions of alameda and contra costa county with temperatures in the upper 40s and lower 50s. how does that rain get in? if you haven't seen the timeline you're be happy in some respects. we'll still get some rainfall but it won't totally damper your saturday. we are going to see some showers develop by 11:00 in marin, napa counties. but the consistent rain will be in the overnight hours, anywhere from 1:00 to 3:00 a.m. down to san jose. you can see some of the models this is picking up on. that's pockets around the bay area. then as we head to 5:00 a lot of this moves to the south, but san jose may still be under the zone of wet weather. so we may get the longest duration of rain right on down throughout the silicon valley. then as we head to 8:00 and 9:00 in the morning, it begins to push to the south, and eventually by 1:00 and 2:00 on saturday we'll see some sunshine build back in. how much rainfall are we expecting? it looks like higher totals at the coastline and san jose
