while i mentioned the storm system is starting to weaken, unfortunately, they're going to be tapping into a subtropical moisture fire hose essentially, that's once again taking direct aim at parts of louisiana, moving up throughout the ohio river valley. st. louis, chicago, going to be getting in on possibly an additional 3 to 5 inches of rainfall from this evening, to about wednesday or so. you can see that stalled out front, and it's for us out in the west, it's been all about high pressure. that's what's been keeping us nice and dry. we've been watching those nice summer temperatures. upper 80s, low 90s. tomorrow, we will be watching a quick disturbance riding in on the northwesterly flow. possibly, a couple of isolated storms, not everyone will get in on the action, but you might find a brief little downpour, which might be nice to see. this evening, we'll cool things off to 59. along the eastern plains, a little chill area up in the mountains in the 30s and 40s. the rest of tonight looks pretty good. tomorrow morning, you're already seeing that cloud cover push in across the west

tropical storms out there, as well as hurricanes too, kind of interesting, that part of the world is getting a little more active as well. for us around colorado, we are looking at the storm system positioned over the four corners as well as moisture within that storm. so it could be stormy throughout the next 24-36 hours. as we look ahead at what is happening across the florida keys and cuba, tropical depression 9, i am anticipating it being upgraded to a tropical storm as we go toward tomorrow, it will be lingering across the gulf, intensifying just a bit and you can see the coloring contours in florida. some spots localized rainfall, 6 inches. t much moisture it will be affecting many gulf coast states throughout the entire week, not anticipating landfall until thursday. that is something we will be keeping an eye on and the eastern pacific, hurricane lester out there and tropical storm madeline, that is taking direct aim at the hawaiian islands, the big island, as the end of the week as well. labor day plans on the hawaiian islands might be stormy, those. looks like hurricane lester has some time as it moves off to the west, we will be watching that as well. but, yeah, kind

the system is beginning to progress eastward. there is not much left in terms of warnings.h that's a good thing. we still have some very powerful systems, storm cells that could reduce gusty winds and frequent lightning and torrential rainfall. in a very short amount of time. this is at the inopportune time of rush-hour but at least we no longer have the severe thunderstorm warning. flood advisory remains in effect for ashtabula county coroner cell. is moving east so in chester lynn arriving and abouti six minutes in western lake county. arriving at mentor on the lake at 5:27 p.m. in painesville at 5:40 p.m. looking at the doppler scan. the actual wind. this does appear to be calming down a bit.. there is a rush of wind between 35 and 40 mph and i could certainly produce some localized damage. just be on guard, any one of these could begin to push the wind, gusting higher into the severe category, on guard as you see theseus clusters moving east. it is part of a warm humid area see how scattered they are. we have scattered showers/storms well out to the west and all-around. looking at the lightning. and then starting to come down a little bit
