in fact most of the time the 2nd spell is shorter and has a lower win percentage than the 1st. if the manager returns to a place they've already had success can it really be considered a new challenge especially if they left not long ago and they find players that they already know when capello returned to his legendary nilan after his 1st term at real madrid he found much of his old team with senators like costa kurta. and albert cine. previously ran into problems when he was never able to get the most out of them the 2nd time around and well they ended up finishing the season in 10. we already know that capello ended up having a dreadful season and getting sacked. let's also not forget when you go back you put your legacy at risk. you had success before. why would you do that so why do managers keep going back even though they know that they're probably going to get sacked and even worse they risk damaging the legacy that they worked so hard to build emotion pride sentimental value gratitude nostalgia loyalty friendship when people think for a 2nd time. is a very good feeling
