as far as local activity, we have entered a third round up of reach in the transportation plan. that may make a pitch for the significance of this document. this is a comprehensive look at transportation in relation to land use. that is something that no other organization does in san francisco and is likely to have some significant outcomes because of the context of the sustainable communities. we have not reached efforts now including a second project, lunchtime webinars, surveys, and also, one survey on school transportation, which is becoming a hot topic as well. as well as presentation to community groups. the dates have not been sent but i will make sure that you are aware of them. at that point, we will share with those committees and results of the surveys that we have done and starting to use that information as the basis for the framework for an alternative which would be in the next several months. we have submitted the draft staff legal eir eis. i believe yesterday there was a letter submitted by n reiskin supporting the contents of the document. it further enhances t

transportation needs. it feeds right into the regional efforts on the regional transportation plan. and we completed the first phase of outreach, and we expect to be briefing the technical and other committees on the progress. we will be briefing the programs committee at an upcoming meeting as well. one followup item, on jfk drive bikeway project, approved funding for it in september. there are some follow-ups to that that report of the approval. among them, the approval by the golden gate park authority and by the recreation and parks commission to both of those approvals that happen. the golden gate park concourse authority had some mitigation for the parking spaces being lost as a result of the bikeway implementation. the sfmta has already ended the fight another 15 parking spaces that can be restored by small changes in the design right in front of the parking institutions, which is what we were hoping for. and the park and rec commission requested sfmta to hold off or rearrange is better to avoid any impact on the crowds during the holiday season. that is in the works as well.

the neighborhood, they've also had side effects. the plan is really looking at ways to compensate for some of the transportation planning that has happened in the last 60 years. then, the final issue that is of concern are the development concerns. glen park is a pretty built out neighborhood and there are a lot -- there are not a lot of opportunities for growth. there is a lot of concern about some of the few sites in the neighborhood and what will happen to them in terms of scale and compatibility and contributing to the village character that is so loved in that area. one of the big concerns is the bart parking lot and what is going to happen there. bart has a 54 space parking lot across from the bart station on boss worth street. this is their only san francisco parking lot. there are more trend -- they are more in the suburban locations. it cannot be used for anything else. bart has expressed interest in developing the allot as some kind of mixed use development, but they have not come forward with a specific proposal. they have a development team we're working with and we have been communicating with them as well. while the plan do
