this is the scene on the west side of the santa clara valley. looking back out over to places like san jose and mountain view. one of the best views of sunrise this morning. which happened about four minutes before 6:00 a.m. about 5:56. so san jose you are under there on the temperatures 56 degrees for you right now. we wanted to see how widespread this is? most of us are waking up to the gray skies. it's not a major issue with fog although gianna is going to show us issues in like the obvious spots like the golden gate bridge and probably going over the waldo grade and some -- spots along the coast. but there's one other location on here if we remove the clouds and just kind of take a look underneath there. the visibility in santa rosa is down to about a mile. so the north bay valleys have a little bit of the issue with fog on the roads. so the clouds are going to melt back by the time we get to about noon. to just the immediate golden gate bridge and the city and then it's more blue sky than anything else. for just about everybody it's going to

northside drive on the other side of the valley. when the river gets to about 12 1/2 feet at that stage that we measure this at, that means the merced river, look how close it is to the road here, flowing over the road and they have to close it. you can not let people in if you can not drive on the roads. the forecast, they are closing the major campgrounds, the river is going to crest at 10 feet. that is the red lineup. there is a forecast that shows you the flow of the river getting up to the red line at 10 feet. this one, it goes out to may 19th. we will go a little farther than that using one of the forecasts. this one, may 24th. a week and a half the scale over there. slows it is possible and likely that once we get back here from may 20th going through until the 25th, the river is likely going to get up to that 12 1/2 foot level and that is the point that it gets to the road. not an official forecast but it is very likely it happens again. if you have plans to go to yosemite towards the second half of may, on average every year
