the u-s marshals searched this home on randall street in waterloo over the weekend. it's one of several waterloo homes that could be connected to edwards he also has known connections throughout eastern iowa. authorities did not find edwards but they did arrest this man -ryan ellis- -on an unrelated theft charge in texas. they're still searching for edwards. firefighters rescue a man after becoming trapped in his apartment. it happened on jacolyn drive south-west in cedar rapids yesterday. three upper units were impacted by the fire. the only way the man could get out was through a second floor window. firefighters knocked down flames and were able to get the man out of the apartment. he was taken to the hospital for possible smoke inhalation. a big surprise for drivers when a small planes crashes into a small street and damages several parked cars. this happened in southern california. the f-a-a says the pilot tried to return to the airport but ended up on a road just south of the thankfully, there were no reports of any injuries. a high-speed chase comes to a crashi

fire crews say one person went to the from an apartment fire in waterloo. it happened overnight at 1684 mount carmel drive. that's at the mount village officials on the scene told tv-9, one apartment had severe fire and smoke damage. we're still waiting to learn details on the victim's condition. crews are investigating the cause of the fire. stay with tv-9 this morning for any updates on this story. an eastern iowa man is dead after a snowmobile accident in michigan. the waterloo cedar falls courier reports the crash happened wednesday night on michigan's upper peninsula. the ontonagon county sheriff's office says 36 year old brady kuennen lost control of his snowmobile, fell off, and hit a tree. the sheriff's office says alcohol appeared to be a factor in the crash. kuennen was a carpenter and the father of three. he was from waucoma, which is about 20 miles east of new hampton. kuennen's funeral will be on monday at st. luke's catholic church in st. lucas. in a couple of week's, iowa's medicaid program is set to transition into a privately-managed system.

the fire started inside a duplex located in 200 block of western avenue in waterloo. firefighters arrived at the duplex around four a m to find smoke cominggut of the house. you can see flames coming out of the second floor windows as they entered the house. the firefighters told us the wind was making it tough for them to put out the fire. the wind was also causing problems with the smokk- the smoke wws blown all over the place including into the faces of the fire fighters on the ladders. when the sun came up, the battle was still going. as you can ee, firefighters were forced to break windows and poww saw t trough the house to reach parts of the fire. another problem the fireman faced, was the bitter cold. temperatures were so low last night, the firemen had to chip away ladders from ththwater from the hoses. the firemen worked for so long on the fire, red cross showed up to bring them coffee and water. the firefighters. joe vich (vick) - red cross people affected and whaa a tough deal it is and then it has cold weather for hours, trying to get this fire knocked down
