the west virginia counties in the area. you have a winter storm watch toward montgomery county and howard county for the potential of upwards of five inches of snow, mostly to the west. damascus and areas like that. washington, south and east, not dealing with the advisories. i don't expect to see any because we are not going to see the snow. north and west, four to eight inches of snow. in toward virginia and around the martinsburg area and into west virginia. then down along the blue ridge. the blue ridge will see that, too. i have you in the two to four. the higher peaks, anything over 1,000 feet will get more snow than two to four. around the district, herndon and manassas, i think less than an inch. i wouldn't be surprised to see it give us more than that on the grassy surfaces. this will be an all rain and wind event. winds 20 to 30 even 40 miles an hour late in the day. we have to watch out for the storm system closely. if you don't see snow, it's going to be nasty. rain in the evening. light. cold. 44 to 47 degrees.
