the work with the neighbors, work with city staff, work with the homeless inhe neighborhood and come up with good solutions. a few things and i know bruce, when united for set some discussions there was some point i'm not sure necessarily worked out at that point but i was pleased to hear in your presentation today that much of that will transpire including that there'll be outreach and so targeting those that are the targeted population in and around this area. i think there will also go a long way to addressing some of the concerns with the closing of the previous temporary site. but i think it's important that we try to work and find those in the geographic proximity to get them at least those that meet the initial criteria. again i'll put in my plug for having dedicated number available for concerned citizens that want to weigh in and also for neighbors that want to have their questions answered and i know there will be online at the center the neighbors but i think it's important to have those resources available to the community so they can again have co

the pathogens in the laboratories is a critical part of this work. inactivation destroys the pathogens ability to cause infection and it occurs at lower levels of containment. this enhances the safety for the workers in expands the number of laboratories people to work on the pathogens that would typically require higher levels of containment. inactivation enables the generation of vaccines, provides viruses diagnose diseases and protect the safety of the laboratory staff and the public. however, it is critical that when the laboratories inactivate pathogens, they do so safely, completely, and verifiably. the incomplete inactivation in the laboratory and 2014 with two major reforms including the creation of my position. i take seriously the importance of the inactivation of pathogens in the laboratories. i want to briefly highlight two ways that we are strengthening the pathogens activation of the safety review board charged with every protocol for the inactivation and the transfer of biological materials to lower levels of containment. it examines ev

work. this story is so common. over theears that i've worked in the field , i think it's time to do something about it. today, infant care costs are staggering. as much as $29,500 per year. we need to create a systemthat not only supports our though income families but our middle income families. currently there are more than 1700 infants and in san francisco that live in our districts we need to be developing strategies for infants and toddlers and that is why today i will be developing the infant and toddler fund. san francisco prides itself in being a conclusive and family-friendly city. the commission is working to create a continuum for our children but the biggest gap is for infants and toddlers. we can no longer wait to address these physical needs. the parents of these infants need to be able to continue to work or go to school to provide for their families and as need in san francisco is far too great. are babies and toddlers can no longer wait and we must be in affluent citywide fund for families. this fund will b

to the work that c-pack does. efore i joined the city 10 years ago i worked at the tenderloin childcare center which is no compass children center in the tenderloin. work there for 13 years. of the teacher in the classroom and i was a director or administrator and i bring that perspective to the work i carried on to the city as a provider as an educator myself. so, i feel like i straddled those two roles during my career. currently, the office of the ece is charged with implementing the citywide plan early care and education after proposition c was passed in 2014. we are charged with a looking at the lincoln education for 0-5-year-olds with all the city funding that's available. we are very lucky in san francisco we have tremendous local investment in ece. so, i think what i bring is a public agency representative on c-pack am able to work with the committee base members that providers for parents listening to the other voices a part of c have contact and shared mission and goals throughout the city both from the p

with mohcd and sfmta how you're working together to support the teachers living in san francisco. >> great as you said a lot of work towards teacher housing in the last couple of years and many years before that there were in the past some obstacles and two main obstacles one was fair housing if you used federal or state funds it is hard to restrict housing to a certain occupation and the other it funding as i understand we're able to leverage your money with tax credits but householders above the ami medium area income for us to pay the cost of construction is really, really expensive a couple of things happened in the last year one there is legislation pending on the governor's desk we firmly believe that will be signed shortly that allows skrukts to use their surplus go improvements for surplus housing and identifies the teacher housing as a state priority and a special state program that opposite side much the door for us to use the low income tax credits a lot of the issues will go away and with those bond funds we can pay that extra incremen
