convicted, >>> melissa garcia in denver where close to 100 people are on the streets after the city shut down this youth hostel. residents got off work yesterday to find their home surrounded with caution tape and danger signs. the city cited the building owner for a slew of fire code violations. some residents have lived here for months or years and have full-time jobs or are students. this is an affordable place to live. now they are on their way to a homeless shelter. last night, 50 of them emergency shelter set up by the red cross and the salvation army. that shelter is now closed. some residents are out of the advanced rent money they paid for the hostel. we caught up with the owner who is working to refund them and says he was shocked at shutdown and was unaware ever the fire code violations. we did just hear from denver human services who say they're work ing to help those residents with basic needs and shelter. >> still some rain showers out everything is dying down right now. and that keems us in pretty good -- keeps us in pretty good shape for tomorrow. showers and storms back by the afternoon. same
