. >> i am theresa palmer a long time san franciscan. usually i talk about long-term care. this whole thing is extremely upsetting, and my hope is the department of public health can improve from the fallout of this fiasco. keeping long-term care beds empty because of what amounts to dph's lack of will to fill them is unacceptable. i can't help having the paranoid thoughts the mayor wanted to gain political points by keeping beds empty to say she could offer navigation beds then in the coverup. i may be off on that but that is what it looks like. this disregard for the mentally ill is chilling. i hope this thought is not the case. there is no easy solution to the long and short term beds in san francisco. surely we can do a better job by working together. please work with and not at odds with those in city government in san francisco who really care. don't close down arf beds, staff them and re-open them. work with supervisors haney and ronen who are looking at ways to fix this. thank you. >> marcus -- i can't read it. houseman, i believe. janette cooling. vivian and amy. >

i have theresa palmer and gloria. anyone else who wishes to provide public comment, please line up on my left. >> good morning, thank you for the opportunity to speak today. i am the director of programs and administration at northeast medical services. c.p.m.c. and nems have a partnership s.we serve 32000 med-cal patients. we provide specialty care and care coordination. while c.p.m.c. serves as the hospital partner and provides diagnostic services. we have worked together to serve the tenderloin in our contract with st. anthonys but through contracts with three independent providers in the tenderloin area. c.p.m.c. is the partner for all four providers as well as the clinic on ellis street. in total we serve a little over 2600 in the area. we will work together to serve our patients and residents of the tenderloin. thank you. >> next speaker, please. if you could line up on the left, we won't lose time between speakers. please come up. thank you.
