"today in the bay"'s thom jensen is live in san francisco this morning.ion. where do things stand? >> reporter: good morning, marcus. well, that video has a lot to do with it, and the video seems to show there was another vehicle involved, a black sedan, and maybe the driver of that vehicle is to blame for this incident where this woman sustained life-threatening injuries. according to cruise, the owner of that car, which had embedded cameras in the vehicle, that video shows a black sedan hit the woman first and then catapulted her in front of their autonomous vehicle at 5th and market, about 9:30 last night. the san francisco fire and rescue team responded and used the jaws of life to rescue that woman trapped under the rear axle of the cruise autonomous vehicle, and then she was taken by ambulance to san francisco general with those life-threatening injuries. but there were no witnesses. >> because of the nature of the autonomous vehicles, there's no driver to speak with, and in this case there were no passengers inside the vehicle when rescuers arrived
