"today in the bay"'s thom jensen is inside -- or outside chevron's richmond refinery where the flaring been an issue before. good morning, thom. >> reporter: good morning. we tried to get inside but they wouldn't have us. you'll remember there was 100 complaints filed here back in late november about a flaring event then. it took workers here at chevron ten hours to fix the problem back then, to stop that flaring back in that late november event. this time it was less severe and there were no complaints, last time the company issued -- self-reported a level 1 air report, but hazmat teams found no health risks associated with this one. chevron said it is used after a disruption to keep the plant operating safely. health officials did not issue an air quality alert this time, but this comes after a series of events like this at east bay refinery, we were just up the road in martinez recently after an event at the refining facility there. count health officials initiated a lengthy surprised inspection there, which followed with a demand letter for some issues that they said they wanted re
