not one single person is helping us and we need someone to bring my husband up. >> reporter: thomas andresen was fishing in sandy hook channel tuesday when his 40-foot steel hull fishing boat el jefe sunk. divers searched as debris floated from the channel. everybody assumed andresen was onboard but his body has not been found. divers can't get close enough to the boat. >> they call it rip for a reason. the current rips through there. it's a dangerous spot. plus there's a lot of debris down there and whatever netting is hanging off the boat, ropes, chains, it's dangerous. >> reporter: coast guard told the family they'd have to hire someone to bring the boat up but the family has no insurance and little money. >> we called private companies and they said it would be like $80,000 to $90,000 for us to bring up my husband who's on the bottom of the ocean. and we don't even know if he's alive or not. >> reporter: cory fishes with his dad a lot but wasn't on el jefe that day. >> let's find out if he's in there. >> time is running out. he's down there and if he's alive, time is going to run out for
