thomas hutchins is with us.ll indulge me, on this violence and the issue that it's more common here, you've heard all the groups that say it's definitely more common in the united states than it is elsewhere. obviously a lots of them are saying it's because of guns, others are saying it's our culture. what do you think? >> it has a lot to do with culture, neil. i think we all know that the lack of family involvement and structure istructure has been ar in a lot of what's gone on. we've seen the emergence of gangs and why kids join gangs, they find that's the only place to really get recognition for some of their achievements because they're not getting it at home and people aren't frankly investing in understanding what's important to them so they seek out these alternative places that unfortunately, to get credit for something you have to do something that is contrary to what is in our interest of safety and building our culture. >> neil: a lot of people will talk whether it's the two officers who were gunned d
