thanks for joining us, i'm matt keller in for eric thomas. >> i'm kristen sze. night of dangerous high winds in the bay area. many of you may be waking up to damage outside this morning. reporter amy hollyfield begins our coverage in diablo. amy? >> lots of trees down overnight because of all the wind. let's start in diablo. this crew is almost finished with the cleanup on this road, but look at what they were dealing with just a couple hours ago. a tree was blocking the road that leads in to diablo country club. this is right outside of alamo in an unincorporated area. there are homes along this road so they wanted to get it cleared up as soon as possible so people could get out to work and to school. it came down overnight because of intense winds. >> it's amazing. i live in tracy. it's not like that there right now. usually tracy is the bad spot. it's kind of bizarre. i came around the corner and saw it. just crazy. >> he was with a company that has to clean up this mess. now check out another sight in oakland. this tree came down overnight as well on skyline

i'm matt keller in for eric thomas. >> i'm kristen sze.s hit by branches, all the result of a night of very windy weather across the bay area. and it continues. abc 7 news reporter amy hollyfield starts off our team coverage in diablo. >> we had a tree down right here in the middle of this road and the last 30 minutes they've brought a chainsaw out here and managed to break it up into some pieces and move it out of the way. you can see it's still a mess out here. lots of debris that comes down along with these trees. and to show you a better example of that, look at this video we took overnight in oakland where a tree came down and also a lot of leaves and branches along with it. this happened at skyline and redwood road near highway 13 and when this tree came down, it even started a small fire that didn't do a lot of damage and was put out quickly. but when it comes down, it brings trouble with it. the winds were very powerful overnight, just causing all kinds of problems around the bay area. >> even coming in off diablo road a few trees

i'm matt keller in for eric thomas. >> i'm kristen zooe.gerous high winds in the bay area that many are waking up to, doing a great deal of damage on both sides of the bay. reporter amy holfield begins our coverage live in allah more. amy? >> look behind me, here's a tree that's down in the community of diablo. the scene is playing out throughout the bay area from the winds overnight. this happened on a private road leading into a country club. there are homes down this road but we're told people can get to their homes, just have to go around. they're going to wait until it's sunlight, until the sunrises until they move this thing. this is not the only place this happened. take a look at this video of a tree in oakland overnight at skyline and redwood road near highway 13. what strikes you about these trees is not just the big tree that comes down, but all the debris along with it. the cleanup process will not be a fun one. leaves and branches all over the place, all because of the high winds overnight. we haven't heard any reports of damag
