thomas hope you were listening. in her very first olympic appearance, the harvard grad took the bronze in the packed 200 meter finals here. and i loved watching your expression because you ran so hard and then you were looking up at the board and it seemed like even you weren't sure how you had finished you were like, is this real? is this happening? what was going through your mind >> yeah, that's exactly what was going through my mind. the last 30 meters of that race were a battle. i had to fight tooth and nail for that one but i just remember what my coach told me before that which was to stay relaxed, stay composed when i crossed the line i wasn't sure if i was third, fourth, or fifth. so to see that i came in third and god my medal, i was ecstatic >> and talk about a packed field. you were racing against a seven-time olympic medalist, the defending olympic champion who had just won gold in the 100 meters how did you keep your composure? >> yeah. i mean, it took a lot of focus and kind of just remembering that i need to have fun. and, you know, i'm here to enjoy myself i love track and field you know, my family
