i'm thomas roberts here at msnbc headquarters in new york. we've been listening to president obama give a well-woven story right there about what he's done in this country over the last eight years, elected twice. but talking about hillary clinton, why he is in favor of her and being the person to carry the baton from him as opposed to donald trump. now, donald trump is speaking on the right-hand side of your screen at a rally in clive, iowa. one thing that president obama started to get the crowd going with there is, yes, we can. that was a familiar refrain from a speech in 2008 that then-senator obama gave before he was elected. something that carried him through two different elections. and now trying to get this to stick with, yes we can, to get hillary clinton elected come november. so, donald trump, again, speaking to his rally in clive, iowa. and not holding back when it comes to hillary clinton. one thing that the president made remarks about, though, is the fact that voters cannot afford to treat this like a reality show. a false equ
