in adjournment, we will be adjourning in memory of two of our educators, marsha and thomas ryan. i would like to have vice- president norton do the honors in the speaking about these educators. commission norton: adjournment in memory of marcia and started as a teacher on a special assignment in 1967 and succumbed to breast cancer on april 1, 2012, after a courageous struggle. she worked for more than 40 years. she started as an elementary school teacher and worked at several schools. for over 20 of those years, she ran the environmental sciences center where she and her staff supported environmental education for sfusd students, families, and teachers. she earned her degree to become a teacher for our district and believe in the ability of all children to learn and contribute. she devoted her laughter promoting excellence in education for all students -- life in promoting excellence in education for all students. she began taking her elementary students on week-long overnights to study nature and science in open-air. this led her to the environmental science center where she dev
