five counties under a freeze warning tonight. some of you will want to cover those plants, make sure the pets are inside. this is news 6 at 6:00. i'm matt austin. >> i'm lisa bell. almost all of us will be in the 30's tonight. let's get right over to chief meteorologist tom sorrells who is pinpointing these cold temperatures for us. >> you know what's coming. we've got a big freeze warning in effect for northern counties. we're talking volusia, flagler, putnam county in there, marion county and sumpter county there, all under the freeze warning until 9 a.m. tomorrow morning. most of you will go below freezing or close to it by 2:30, 3:00 in the morning. all of brevard and osceola and even polk counties, we have a frost advisory for those counties that goes until 9:00 tomorrow morning. here's why. we're already down to 52 degrees in orlando. 48 in ocala. 49 in gainesville and 50 in the villages. leesburg also reporting 49 degrees already with a wind speed of 15 miles per hour. that's pretty stiff. winds are starting to die. as they do, we just drop like a rock. overn

county. and what we are seeing there, the secondary roads continuing to be pounded with snowfall. so most of those are snow covered, of course, this morning. dot officials tell me overnight some areas of madison county saw as much as an additional 6," like places like in hot springs, wolf laurel, sams gap, some of those hardest hit areas as typically is the case when we receive snow here in madison county. but, the warning from dot officials is of course no school this morning, so no buses will be out on this, but black ice will remain an issue as well as the snow on those secondary roads, especially. so they urge you yo to use caution as you are heading out to work here this morning. that is a look at conditions here in marshall. jaclyn, what are we seeing on >> jaclyn: lauren, there is one crash to look out for that is weather related in mitchell county, a car slid off the roadway on king creek road in bakersville. use this as a reminder many back roads in mitchell county are still snow covered or icy, especially in the south part of the county. so, try to stay off the roadways if you can there.
